The Winnipeg Jets are finally back in the win column.

Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford each recorded two goals and an assist to lead the Jets to a 4-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.

Ondrej Pavelec was solid - making 29 saves - as the Jets snapped a season-long six-game losing streak.

Scheifele opened the scoring in the first period, capitalizing on the power play after a hit to the head by Canucks defenseman Luca Sbisa on Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers. Scheifele added his seventh goal of the season late in the third period.

Drew Stafford scored the eventual game-winner in the second period, snapping an 11-game scoring drought in the process. He added an empty-netter to eliminate any hope of a Canucks comeback.

Daniel Sedin scored the lone goal for the Canucks, giving him 899 points in his NHL career. Ryan Miller made 29 saves, but lost his sixth straight start.

Vancouver falls to 7-7-6 on the year after a 1-4-2 road trip. The Canucks will look to get back on track at home against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

Winnipeg improves to 9-9-2 and will try to start its first win streak since October when the Jets host the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday.
