Report: Arsenal, Manchester United eye out-of-favour Daniele Rugani

With Daniele Rugani not likely to trouble the Juventus starting lineup anytime soon, Arsenal and Manchester United are weighing up making a move for the defender, according to Jack de Menezes of the Independent.

The Old Lady purchased the other half of the 21-year-old's contract in January, as he was part of a co-ownership deal with Empoli. He linked up with the Turin outfit permanently in the summer.

Despite being regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Italian football, and being contracted to the reigning Italian champion until 2019, he has managed just a few seconds of competitive action after being introduced late in a 2-0 Champions League win over Sevilla in September.

Reports suggest that Rugani is highly regarded by his manager, Massimiliano Allegri, and is thought to have a bright future in the borough of Vallette, but this hasn't prevented the English duo and fellow Serie A club Napoli from taking an interest.
