The basketball world has rallied around Lamar Odom during his recovery from a drug overdose, but the former NBA star may now be facing a felony drug charge.
Nye County District Attorney Angela Bello revealed Monday that a prosecutor is considering whether to file a count of unlawful use of cocaine or being under the influence of a controlled substance after the sherriff's office submitted the charge last week.
Authorities got a warrant on Oct. 13 to take a blood sample from Odom while he was in critical condition, The Associated Press reports. The 36-year-old former NBA Sixth Man of the Year was hospitalized after overdosing at Nevada's Love Ranch brothel.
