Rubio out again for Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies

Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without Ricky Rubio for the fourth straight game Sunday, as the point guard has been ruled out against the Memphis Grizzlies due to his nagging left hamstring injury.

Rubio has also dealt with left knee soreness in the early part of the season, not the way he wanted to start after being limited to just 22 games played last year due to persistent ankle problems.

In six games, he's averaging career highs in points (13) and assists (nine), while ripping 2.3 steals, shooting a career-best 39.3 percent from the field, and turning the ball over only twice per contest. The Wolves are 4-2 in games he's played in. They've yet to win without him.

Second-year combo guard Zach LaVine will likely draw the start in Rubio's stead once again.
