VIDEO: JVR goes shelf after textbook Maple Leafs breakout

This is exactly how the Toronto Maple Leafs drew it up.

Starting from their own zone, Toronto made four passes, the last from Nazem Kadri to James van Riemsdyk upon taking the Vancouver Canucks' blue line.

JVR took it from there, going shelf blocker side on Ryan Miller.

It's only the fifth time the Maple Leafs opened the scoring this season. They're 2-0-2 when they do.
