Fake field goals are supposed to surprise the opposition, which is probably why this one failed against Maryland.
Michigan State tried to catch the Terrapins off guard early in Saturday's game, but they were having none of it.
Something tells me kicker Michael Geiger won't be volunteering to participate in any more fakes after being swallowed by a Maryland lineman.
