Ronaldo doesn't see himself moving to MLS

Cristiano Ronaldo isn't planning a late-career move to Major League Soccer.

Unlike many of the game's top stars, the Real Madrid man says he isn't looking to make a stop in North America, estimating that while he has six or seven years left to play, he foresees hanging up his boots in Europe.

"In my mind, I want to finish in the top level," Ronaldo said in an interview with "The Jonathan Ross Show" on Thursday. "I want to finish with dignity, so in a good club. It doesn't mean that to go USA or Qatar or Dubai is not good but I don't see myself (going)."

MLS is now home to a number of top soccer players nearing the end of their respective careers; the likes of David Villa, Kaka, Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, and Steven Gerrard all compete in North America.

Orlando City is reportedly interested in Ronaldo's signature, with team owner Flavio Augusto Da Silva admitting the team would "sign him without thinking about it," if given the chance.

"Physically, he's more complete than (Lionel) Messi, and he'd make more of an impact on a marketing level in MLS than the Argentine," Da Silva explained back in October. "Hopefully, we can sign him for this upcoming season. We've always heard that he'd like to come to the United States to play."

Other parties reportedly interested in Ronaldo include future expansion outfit Los Angeles FC and David Beckham's Miami franchise.
