Giants' Pugh avoids concussion protocol

The New York Giants received some good news about left guard Justin Pugh, who has been experiencing headaches the past few days.

An independent neurologist determined that Pugh's headaches were the result of dehydration and heat, not a concussion, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports.

The Giants played in Tampa Bay on Sunday in 80-plus-degree heat and 90-percent humidity.

Right guard Geoff Schwartz, wide receiver Victor Cruz, tight end Larry Donnell, and linebackers J.T. Thomas and Uani 'Unga were also held out of Wednesday's practice.
