Mavericks rest Parsons vs. Clippers

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Swingman Chandler Parsons won't suit up in what's sure to be a heated affair between the Dallas Mavericks and the visiting Los Angeles Clippers.

Parsons, who's still recovering from offseason surgery, will rest on the second night of a back-to-back set, Dwain Price of the Star Telegram relays.

That means Parsons can join team owner Mark Cuban in the aisle of hurt feelings as DeAndre Jordan makes his first appearance at American Airlines Center since spurning their advances over the summer.

The 27-year-old Parsons is already being held to a 15-minute restriction after undergoing microfracture surgery on his knee. The restriction and his recovery has resulted in Parsons averaging just 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 points on 32.1 percent shooting across five games this season.
