Westbrook notches triple-double as Thunder blow out Wizards
Russell Westbrook is doing his best to convince Kevin Durant that Oklahoma City - not Washington, D.C. - is the best spot for him going forward.
With Durant out with a strained hamstring, Westbrook took over by notching a triple-double while leading the Thunder to a 125-101 victory against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.
Westbrook notched 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists for his first triple-double of the season in three quarters before sitting out for the fourth quarter.

Fans in Washington have made no secret of their desire to sign Durant next summer. Their free-agency pitch would likely center around Washington's promising backcourt and bringing Durant back to his hometown.
However, Wizards point guard John Wall (an elite defender) looked utterly powerless against Westbrook, who simply overwhelmed the defense with his sheer physicality.
Tuesday's outing brings Westbrook's averages to 26.3 points, seven rebounds, and a league-best 10.9 assists per game. Westbrook led the league with 11 triple-doubles last season.
