Report: Sergio Ramos may undergo shoulder surgery after El Clasico
Sergio Ramos reportedly may find himself on the surgeon's table after Real Madrid and Barcelona renew their eternal rivalry at the Santiago Bernabeu on Nov. 21.
According to J.L. Calderon of Marca, an operation on Ramos' injured left shoulder is in store if the "conservative treatment" he's received does not put an end to the discomfort. However, in the event that surgery is required, a date for the procedure will apparently be chosen after El Clasico, as he would be out for a minimum of five weeks.
Ramos dislocated the shoulder during Real Madrid's 4-0 Champions League victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in September. He then aggravated the injury in Los Blancos' 3-2 defeat at Sevilla on Sunday, landing on the shoulder after he opened the scoring by virtue of a phenomenal bicycle kick.

AS reports that Ramos took a cortisone injection before the fixture at Sevilla, as he had done before three other matches.
After the game, which he exited some 10 minutes after the overhead kick, Ramos addressed his fitness, saying: "My shoulder's not too good. I fell on it after scoring." He added: "I played today with painkillers and when you suffer a relapse of an injury, it's much worse; now I'll have to start the recovery process all over again from scratch."
