David Moyes fired by Real Sociedad
David Moyes' underwhelming stint in Spain has come to an end.
Real Sociedad confirmed what had been widely speculated since the club's 2-0 loss to Las Palmas on Friday, announcing the firing of the Scottish bench boss on Monday.
"The club wish to thank him ... for all he brought to the club, his professionalism and his dedication in carrying out his duties," read part of an exceedingly brief statement.
Moyes, 52, was handed the reigns at the Anoeta last November, seven months after being fired by Manchester United, where he was handed the impossible task of succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson.

Friday's loss to Las Palmas, Moyes' last game in charge, left the club with nine points on the campaign, sitting outside of the relegation zone only on goal difference.
