Report: Dodgers re-sign pitching coach Rick Honeycutt to 2-year deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers will have a new manager in 2016, but there will be at least one familiar face returning to the coaching staff.

Pitching coach Rick Honeycutt has a new two-year contract to remain with the club, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

Heyman says the deal is worth a lucrative $750,000 a year, making Honeycutt one of the highest paid at his position.

Honeycutt, who has served as the club's pitching coach since 2006, could have a fourth Cy Young Award coming to a member of his rotation in 2015 if Zack Greinke earns the nod. Clayton Kershaw captured the honor three times under Honeycutt's watch.

Dodgers pitchers ranked in the top five in many statistical categories last season, including ERA (fifth), WHIP (third), strikeouts (third), and quality starts (fourth).
