Mavericks holding Parsons to 15-minute restriction

Having underwent microfracture surgery on his knee in the offseason, the Dallas Mavericks are looking to gently ease forward Chandler Parsons back into the rotation.

As the Star-Telegram's Dwain Price relays, Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle says he's holding Parsons to a 15-minute restriction for the time being while he regains his conditioning.

Parsons has played a total of 26 minutes across two games and is noticeably out of game shape, which isn't a surprise given that he sat out all of training camp and preseason. He's connected on 4-of-12 attempts from the field, and is just 1-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Last season, his first with the Mavericks, Parsons played in 66 games and averaged 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 33.1 minutes per game.
