Bucks' Carter-Williams out vs. 76ers with strained left ankle

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams has been ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a strained left ankle.

The injury occurred during Monday's 103-96 win over the Brooklyn Nets when the 24-year-old slipped on the hardwood. He finished the night with six points, five assists, and two blocked shots in just over 22 minutes of action.

The Syracuse alumnus is averaging 12.8 points on 40.5 percent shooting, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.8 assists for the 1-3 Bucks.

Greivis Vasquez or Jerryd Bayless will likely be inserted into the vacant point guard spot. Tyler Ennis, who was recently medically cleared to compete after recovering from a shoulder injury, is also a possibility.

Jabari Parker will be making his season debut for Milwaukee at the BMO Harris Bradley Center after missing all but 25 games last season with a torn ACL.
