Georgia's Mark Richt: 'We're gonna get it together'

Georgia head coach Mark Richt doesn't appear to be fazed by rumors that he'll be the next coach to lose his job.

He vowed to reporters Tuesday that his team will continue to play hard despite losing three of its last four games.

"We're Georgia. We're a team. We work together," Richt said. "We're gonna fight. We're gonna fight together. We'll do the things we think we need to do to get better as we go. But the Georgia people can count on us fighting our tails off and doing it in a way that everybody would be proud of in our young men, to get better."

After starting the campaign 4-0, the conference schedule hasn't been kind to the Bulldogs. After falling at the hands of Alabama and Tennessee in early October, Georgia bottomed out last week with a 27-3 loss to Florida.

Many have questioned Richt's future in Athens recently, especially after the Georgia offense managed only nine points over the past two weeks.

"What we've done to this point really hasn't defined us as much as what we do from here on," Richt added. "That's how you handle adversity in a season and that's how you have to handle adversity in life. You decide, what am I going to do now? What we're gonna do now is we're gonna focus on our jobs, we're gonna fight like mad and we're gonna get it together."

Richt's record with the Bulldogs is impressive at 141-51, but he hasn't claimed an SEC title since 2005.
