LeBron reminds Sixers fans about the process: 'Everyone wants instant oatmeal'

Through 13 seasons in the NBA, LeBron James has missed the postseason just twice, keeping his teams squarely in the championship discussion for the better part of the last decade.

Given that perennial success, it's easy to imagine that James might not be able to fathom the patience and frustration required to take part in the type of rebuilding process the Philadelphia 76ers are currently undergoing.

With James' Cleveland Cavaliers in Philadelphia on Monday, the king fielded questions about that process, which has seen the Sixers lose 129 of their last 166 games over the last three seasons, which has included an 0-2 start in 2015-16.

Ever the game's diplomat, however, LeBron wasn't about to slag a team he was hours away from playing, and so he left the Philly faithful with a womewhat hopeful message.

"It's all a process," James said. "Everyone wants instant oatmeal, but it's always a process."

Surrounded by spreadsheets somewhere in The Wells Fargo Center, Sam Hinkie nods his head.
