DFS: Week 9: NFC Target Tracker

Here's a team-by-team look at the most targeted players in the NFC through Week 8 (click here for AFC targets):

Arizona Cardinals

Fitzgerald and Floyd saw the majority of targets in Week 7 as Brown dressed but did not see a single snap. Overall, the Cardinals' passing offense is a great place for DFS players to find production but it can difficult to pinpoint which receiver will produce.

Atlanta Falcons

With Hankerson out, targets were streamlined to the trio of Jones, Freeman, and Tamme. With this 12 targets, Tamme had his most productive game of the season but DFS players should not look to him as a consistent fantasy tight end.

Carolina Panthers

Without Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers receivers have managed only two one-hundred games. Though they are 7-0, the Panthers struggle with the passing game; outside of Olsen, they are limited to GPP contests.

Chicago Bears

Jeffery has been great in the three games he has played this year and DFS players should look to get him into their lineups. His high targets ensure production fit for cash games and his talent makes him a GPP play.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys' passing game continues to struggle and DFS players should probably steer clear until Tony Romo returns. On the plus side, the Cowboys play the Eagles in Week 9, a better matchup compared to Seattle.

Detroit Lions

The Lions have the weapons to be productive - and even explosive - yet they continue to underachieve. The volatility of their team as a whole creates headaches in DFS and limits most Lions to GPP play.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers struggled mightily in Week 8 against the Denver pass defense, throwing for only 77 yards. Outside of his Week 3 performance, quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been mediocre throughout the season, resulting in poor DFS production from his receivers.

Minnesota Vikings

Diggs has quickly ascended up the Minnesota depth chart and has become the top target in Minnesota. However, DFS players should keep in mind that Minnesota's pass offense is ranked 30th in the league.

New Orleans Saints

Week 8 was great for nearly every Saint. Be wary, however, of jumping on the New Orleans bandwagon; after all, Drew Brees won't throw for seven touchdowns every week. With Cooks, Snead, Watson, Colston, and Ingram all in the mix, picking the correct breakout receiving option is difficult.

New York Giants

Beckham Jr. had a spectacular Week 8, grabbing three touchdowns. He continues to be the only real option for DFS players but he obviously comes at an extremely high price.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles unpredictable offense returns off the bye to play Dallas. Matthews has under achieved for most of the season though he sees a solid amount of targets.

San Francisco 49ers

DFS players should keep away from the anemic San Francisco passing offense. With Blaine Gabbert set to start Week 9, DFS players have no reason to draft a 49er this week.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle ranks 25th in the league in terms of points per game, which continues to hold back their DFS appeal. Graham is still an option at tight end but he only has two touchdowns through eight games.

St. Louis Rams

Austin is the only option for DFS players here and should still be limited to GPP play. The Rams' offense runs through Todd Gurley and does not have the talent to maintain even a mediocre passing game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers offense was without Jackson, Murphy, and Sefarin-Jenkins in Week 8 and managed only 177 passing yards. In Week 9, however, the Bucs play the Giants, who were just scorched for 511 passing yards.

Washington Redskins

DeSean Jackson should return in Week 9 and will demand a significant amount of targets. He'll provide Kirk Cousins with a critical third option, joining Garcon and Reed.
