Report: Jose Mourinho has 2 games to save Chelsea job
A cold, rainy night in Stoke might be Jose Mourinho's last chance to save his job at Chelsea.
The under-fire Chelsea boss has been given a short leash to reverse the course and improve the dreadful form his team has displayed in the early stages of the season.
Mourinho has been given 180 minutes, as his future with the club depends on results over the next two matches, sources revealed to Miguel Delaney of ESPNFC.
The first test takes place Wednesday during Chelsea's Champions League group stage match against Dynamo Kyiv at Stamford Bridge. And if all goes well, he then faces the tricky task of attempting to come away from a fixture against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Nov. 7 will a positive result, a venue where Chelsea was recently knocked out of the League Cup.

Delaney adds that former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is interested in rejoining the Blues on a short-term basis.

If Mourinho's time with Chelsea comes to an end after the Stoke match, the club should have enough time to find a replacement during the international break in time for a meeting with Norwich City on Nov. 21.
It would be similar to the situation at Liverpool when the team sacked Brendan Rodgers ahead of the international break in October before hiring former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.
Even without the reported deadline, Mourinho will be desperate to right the ship following Saturday's 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. The team only has two wins in its last eight matches in all competitions, and sits in the bottom half of the Premier League table with 11 points after 11 games.
