Pelicans' Perkins leaves game with right pectoral strain; will not return

New Orleans Pelicans big man Kendrick Perkins left Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors with what the team is calling a right pectoral strain.
He will not return.
Perkins, 30, started one game this season and is averaging seven points and four rebounds on 77.8 percent shooting.
Omer Asik is playing his first game of the season after missing three weeks with a right calf strain. He'll see more minutes at the five spot with Perkins out.
