The Atlanta Hawks lost forward Mike Muscala in the fourth quarter of their season opener against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Muscala sprained his right ankle after a collision on a drive to the basket, for which he was hit with an offensive foul. He needed to be helped off the court and went straight to the locker room. He did not return.
Muscala went scoreless with one rebound and a plus-5 rating in eight minutes before leaving the game. The Hawks lost, 106-94.
