DFS: Counterattack - Week 8's Best Contrarian Plays

Here's a look at this week's top contrarian plays:

QB Andrew Luck, Colts (at Panthers)

Luck is back to being an elite DFS option as he seeks to end Carolina's quest for an unbeaten season.

The Panthers possess the second-best fantasy defense versus QBs, but don't be fooled - they have yet to face anyone as good as Luck. If the Colts' offensive line can hold up and the defense shuts down Cam Newton and the Panthers' offense, Luck and WR T.Y. Hilton should have a productive day.

RB Eddie Lacy, Packers (at Broncos)

The NFL's best offense faces off against the league's best defense. Who will be crowned the winner?

Lacy is the X-factor for the Packers in this game; if QB Aaron Rodgers sputters against the Broncos' No. 1 pass defense, Green Bay will elect to lean on Lacy and long-time Packers RB James Starks. In a showdown like this, expect coach Mike McCarthy to ride Lacy in the backfield.

WR Donte Moncrief, Colts (at Panthers)

Do we see a low-owned contrarian stack brewing out of Carolina?

A lot of DFSers may pair Luck and Hilton due to their Week 7 success. But Moncrief has just three fewer receptions than Hilton, and could be in for a huge role on Monday night.

TE Travis Kelce, Chiefs (vs. Lions)

In this depleted Chiefs offense, Kelce represents the player that poses the biggest threat.

The past couple weeks have been tough for Kelce, as he has failed to post big fantasy numbers. In a game against an Lions offense that relies heavily on its passing game, QB Alex Smith's No. 1 receiving option will see a pile of targets in Week 8.
