The Philadelphia 76ers waived point guard Pierre Jackson on Monday, according to Calkins Media's Tom Moore.

The 24-year-old signed a reported four-year, partially-guaranteed contract with the franchise this offseason.

Selected with the 42nd overall pick by Philadelphia in the 2013 NBA Draft, Jackson was traded along with Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans weeks later in exchange for Nerlens Noel.

He has since bounced around the D-League, Europe, and summer league, searching for stable work as an undersized floor general.

The 5-foot-10 Jackson averaged two points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in three preseason games with the 76ers.

Philadelphia has reportedly also cut ties with shooting guard J.P. Tokoto, the team's 58th pick in this year's draft. The North Carolina alumnus totaled 16 points over five preseason games.
