VIDEO: Greg Hardy appears to slap clipboard, shove coach
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy got into an altercation with special teams coach during Sunday's loss to the New York Giants, which appears to have escalated to shoves, later sparking teammate Dez Bryant to get involved.
Better quality video of the incident emerged late Sunday, clearly showing Hardy and a special teams coach Rich Bisaccia shoving each other before teammates and coaches calm the situation down.
Bisaccia and head coach Jason Garrett downplayed the situation after the game, saying it's not an issue moving forward.
"He wanted to get in there and kind of get after some of the guys a little bit, maybe get them fired up," Bisaccia said, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. "It was just not the right time. It's really not an issue. I just had to communicate what we were going to do next on the return, so I just really wanted him to move on so we could get going."
Owner Jerry Jones said he welcomes the kind of passion that Hardy and Bryant exhibited, but it's unknown if he was aware of the heated exchange between the defensive end and a coach.
Coming off a four-game suspension for a domestic violence incident, Hardy has a reputation as a volatile player and many are condemning his actions after seeing the clearer video.
