Alabama escapes with narrow win vs. Tennessee
No. 8 Alabama left it until late in the fourth quarter, but a Derrick Henry 14-yard touchdown run with 2:24 left gave the Crimson Tide a narrow 19-14 win over Tennessee.
Jalen Hurd gave the Volunteers a 14-13 lead with 5:49 left after a 12-yard touchdown run, but the defense couldn't stop the Tide from marching 71 yards on the ensuing drive for the win.
Tennessee had a chance in the final minutes, but Ryan Anderson sacked Joshua Dobbs and forced a fumble which Alabama recovered to end the game.

- Henry continued his torrid pace, finishing with 143 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. The junior running back now has a rushing touchdown in 13 straight games, an Alabama record.

- A sloppy affair, with 13 combined penalties, saw both teams struggle to score until the fourth quarter
- Jake Coker threw for 247 yards including acrobatic catches by Calvin Ridley and ArDarius Stewart on the final drive to set up Henry's clinching touchdown
- Alabama has won the last nine meetings between the schools, and Tennessee has dropped 24 straight games against top 10 teams.

Alabama is off next week before hosting LSU on Nov. 7, while Tennessee visits Kentucky on Oct. 31.
