Stars' Demers will have hearing for elbowing Penguins' Bonino

Dallas Stars defenseman Jason Demers will have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety on Friday in response to the game misconduct he received Thursday night for elbowing Pittsburgh Penguins forward Nick Bonino.
Demers delivered a nasty blow to the face of Bonino, who was shaken up and will most certainly have to follow the NHL's concussion protocol, but it's difficult to determine Demers' intent, as he was clearly attempting to shield the puck from Bonino's oncoming forecheck.
This will be Demers' first run-in with the NHL's suspension czar.
Bonino was on the ice for Penguins practice Friday morning.
