After a 3-0-0 start to the season, the Arizona Coyotes have suddenly come right back down to earth.

Adam Larsson scored his first goal of the season Tuesday night - in overtime, no less - to lead the New Jersey Devils over the Coyotes.

Travis Zajac made a nice pass to set up Larsson on the winner, giving the Devils their second consecutive overtime victory and picking up his third point of the game. Goaltender Cory Schneider made 18 saves in the win, handing the Coyotes their third straight defeat.

The Coyotes, who fall to 3-2-1 on the year, managed to salvage a point in the loss when Mikkel Boedker beat Schneider through traffic to tie the game with 50 seconds remaining in the third period.

Despite the three-game losing streak, the Coyotes future continues to look very promising. Max Domi and Anthony Duclair hooked up for yet another pretty goal, while Martin Hanzal recorded his eighth assist, tying him for the league lead.

The Devils' spoiled a special night for Coyotes captain Shane Doan, who was playing in his 1,400th regular-season game, becoming just the eighth player in NHL history to do so with one team.

With the win, New Jersey improves to 2-3-1 and will take on the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
