Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar added to his list of highlight-reel plays Monday with one of the best catches of the postseason.

Two batters after Jose Bautista was unable to corral an Alcides Escobar liner to begin the game, Pillar tracked a deep blast off the bat of Kansas City's Lorenzo Cain to make a spectacular grab at the wall.

Pillar, who ranked third among AL center fielders in FanGraphs' defensive runs saved, also showed off his value on the basepaths when he made an impressive slide into home on Ryan Goins' two-run single in the second. Pillar's all-around effort included a double, stolen base, and two runs scored.

"He's on a nice roll with the bat, he's really swinging well," manager John Gibbons told reporters after the game. "He really is a first-year player. He's had a tremendous year for us. He's a great baserunner. He's one of the guys that does everything in the game; plays the defense, gets big hits, can steal bases. Really, guys like him get lost on this team because of the guys up top in the lineup. But he's been a key guy to help those guys have big years."
