Flyers honor Kimmo Timonen prior to game vs. Blackhawks
Kimmo Timonen was the man of the hour in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
The recently retired defenseman was honored by the Flyers before their game against the Chicago Blackhawks, with whom he won the Stanley Cup this past spring.
Amid chants from the crowd, Timonen walked out to center ice and dropped the puck before hugging both Jonathan Toews and Claude Giroux.

"My years here were the best times of my life," Timonen said earlier in the day. "We had our ups and downs, but those memories will stay with me for the rest of my life."
Timonen spent seven years with the Flyers, going as far as the Cup Final in 2010, where the club fell to the Blackhawks.
Traded to Chicago prior to the 2015 deadline, he suited up in 34 total games with the eventual champions, and earned a spot for his name on the Cup as his final act as a player.
