DFS: Tuesday's Injury Report

James Guillory / USA TODAY Sports

Here's a look at the injuries impacting Tuesday's NHL games.

Carolina Hurricanes

There are few fantasy implications injury-wise down in Raleigh, with only two players listed on its report. Gritty center Riley Nash remains day-to-day nursing an upper-body injury and is listed as a game-time decision against the Florida Panthers.

Detroit Red Wings

Speedy center Darren Helm and crafty playmaker Pavel Datsyuk remain sidelined with concussion and ankle injuries respectively, while defenseman Danny DeKeyser is out indefinitely with a foot injury.

New Jersey Devils

39 year-old center Patrik Elias is in no rush to return to action while sitting out with a knee injury.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Wingers Pascal Dupuis, Tom Kuhnhackl and Eric Fehr will not join the Penguins in Montreal as they continue to nurse injuries that occurred earlier this month.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Backup goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy aims to return later this month from a neck injury while center Cedric Paquette will likely sit out Tuesday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings with a foot injury.

Washington Capitals

Captain Alex Ovechkin has personal matters to attend to, and is a game-time decision. Washington star center Nicklas Backstrom shed his blue practice jersey Monday and took reps with contact on the second line, although the 27-year-old has yet to be cleared for game action.

He meets with his surgeon later this week and could be back as soon as the Capitals' Oct. 15 game versus the Carolina Hurricanes.

In The Clear

Nashville, San Jose, Florida and Winnipeg have no major injuries DFS players should be concerned about.
