Bills players: 'Prima donna' Odell Beckham Jr. threw punches at us

The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year and "Madden 16" cover boy didn't make many friends in Buffalo this weekend.

On the heels of the New York Giants' 24-10 win over the Buffalo Bills, some Bills players say wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. threw a tantrum during the game.

The players allege Beckham - who they described as a "prima donna" and a "golden boy" - threw punches at them during the game, Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News reports.

"He's different. It's kind of like you’re playing your little brother and he gets mad at you for being too physical with him - throwing a tantrum," Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore said of Beckham. "I'm like, 'Man, we're playing football. It's a physical game.' ... He's a prima donna. He feels like he's on top of the world and nobody's supposed to do anything to him."

Linebacker Preston Brown said Beckham has a reputation as someone who tries to get away with cheap shots.

"That's what he does. He'll get away with it," Brown said. "He's the 'golden boy' of the league. He's on the cover of Madden. Sometimes, you get away with stuff like that."

Beckham caught five passes for 38 yards in the game. Gilmore said he wasn't particularly impressed.

"I don’t really watch TV and listen to the hype. I study guys on the film and then I judge him," Gilmore said. "He's not Sammy Watkins. He has good hands, he can catch. He's good but he’s not what people think after that one catch."
