Flames place Raymond on waivers, send Granlund to AHL

Sergei Belski / USA Today

The Calgary Flames placed Mason Raymond and Paul Byron on waivers Monday, and assigned Markus Granlund to Stockton of the AHL.

Raymond is under contract through 2016-17, with a cap hit of $3.15 million. He had 12 goals and 11 assists in 57 games last season.

Granlund, 22, had eight goals and 10 assists in 48 games in 2014-15. He's under contract at $925,000 and will be a restricted free agent after this season.

The moves mean the Flames still have three goalies in camp: Jonas Hiller, Joni Ortio, and Karri Ramo.
