VIDEO: Torres receives match penalty for headshot on Silfverberg
He's back.
Raffi Torres' typical indiscretion has been limited to just 16 games over the past two seasons due to a series of knee injuries. He appears to have crossed the line in his return, however, with a shot to the head of Anaheim Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg.
Torres received a match penalty on the play and was ejected.
Silfverberg did not return to the game for precautionary reasons, but could have returned, according to Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau.
Torres has been suspended four times by the NHL's Department of Player Safety and is now in danger of a fifth.
He is not technically considered a repeat offender, but his history can be used to determine a potential suspension:
Torres, BTW, is technically NOT a repeat offender (no fines/suspensions in last 18 months) for purposes of how lost wages are calculated.

But Torres' history of fines/suspensions CAN be factored into length of future suspension, once @NHLPlayerSafety determines hearing req'd.
