Philadelphia Eagles right guard Andrew Gardner is expected to be out for a significant period of time due to a foot injury, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
An MRI revealed the injury is a "significant" Lisfranc tear in Gardner's right foot, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports, citing a source who says the injury will likely require season-ending surgery.
Gardner suffered the ailment in Sunday's 24-17 win against the New York Jets. The veteran signed a three-year, $12.6-million extension prior to the season.
Josh Andrews will likely replace Gardner in the starting lineup.
