Report: Bears open to more trades, looking to move players that don't fit scheme
Editor's Note: The Bears traded linebacker Jon Bostic to the New England Patriots after this story was published.
In search of their first victory, the Chicago Bears are looking to get rid of players from the previous coaching regime that don't fit their scheme, according to ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini.
Chicago traded defensive end Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers on Monday, in what could be the first of many moves to come.
John Fox took over as the Bears' head coach in January, but the team has looked listless through three games.
Fox said "the timing was right and the situation was right" for Allen to be moved.
With Chicago switching from a 4-3 base defense to a 3-4 scheme, a number of defensive players could be on their way out of the Windy City.
