Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri promises pizza, hot dogs for clean sheet

Keep a clean sheet, get a pizza.

That's the lucrative deal Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri revealed he has made with his players ahead of his side's clash with Stoke City on the weekend. If his players starve the opposition and keep them off the score sheet, they can eat pizza to their hearts' content afterwards.

"I want to pay a pizza for a clean sheet," Ranieri told reporters. "When we get one I pay for pizza and maybe a hot dog."

Adding a hot dog may border on spoiling his players, but Ranieri has good reason to. His side has been particularly impressive after being promoted into the English Premier League, sitting pretty in second place after three wins and two draws.

What Ranieri most likes is his team's speed. Jamie Vardy, in particular, is the fastest player in the league this season, a trait the manager likened to the Royal Air Force.

"My team is like the RAF ... beep, beep, beep!" Ranieri said, making airplane noises. "I love it."

What's the secret to Leicester's successes this season?

"When you want to build something, it's about the club," Ranieri explained. "The head of the fish. Everyone works together. That's the secret."

So, to wrap it all up: Fish heads, pizza, and airplanes make Leicester a Premier League surprise contender this year. Keep it up, Mr. Ranieri!
