Tom Brady: It would be great if Donald Trump wins presidency
It's rare to hear active NFL players talk politics. For better or worse, most players seem to acknowledge that it's rarely in their best interests to take a public stand on partisan issues and risk alienating half the fan base.
After all, as Michael Jordan famously once said, "Republicans buy shoes, too."
Tom Brady doesn't have that fear, apparently. The New England Patriots quarterback is friends with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and was spotted recently with one of Trump's "Make America Great Again" hats in his locker.
Asked if Trump has a shot at winning the presidency Wednesday, Brady has this to say: "I hope so. That would be great. There'd be a putting green on the White House lawn, I'm sure of that."
