T.J. Dillashaw interested in a fight against 'best pound-for-pound in the world' Demetrious Johnson

T.J. Dillashaw wants to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, and thinks he can earn the distinction against Demetrious Johnson.

Despite having a pivotal bout against former division kingpin Dominick Cruz on the horizon, the UFC bantamweight champion is looking ahead to a potential bout against Johnson - a former 135-pounder who has dominated the flyweight division.

"What's going to build my name the most is by beating Demetrious Johnson," Dillashaw told "The MMA Hour," according to MMAFighting.com's Dave Doyle. "I think he's the best pound-for-pound in the world. I'd love that fight. I think he's smart. ... It's a great fight, if they really want to put an offer that's worth it, that would be great. I'd want to fight, I'd like to make to it happen."

One of the most well-rounded mixed martial artists on the planet, Johnson's brand of dominance is often branded as boring by mainstream fans, a notion Dillashaw completely disagrees with.

"I find him to be a really smart fighter and me being a true MMA fan, I don't find him boring whatsoever," Dillashaw said. "To see what he's done inside the Octagon and how dominant he is, his footwork, his angles, how well he mixed things up, his wrestling, I don't find him boring, I appreciate how good he is. He's smart and he's best in the world."
