Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw was carted off Tuesday following a tackle by PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno that appeared to break the young England international's right leg.
The match was delayed for ten minutes while medics treated the ex-Southampton defender before he was stretchered off and replaced by Marcos Rojo.
Moreno's tackle occurred in the 14th minute of Tuesday's Champions League Group B match at Philips Stadion.
Shaw's right leg appeared to break on impact as it collided with the PSV defender's left shin. The United left-back's studs stuck in the turf, giving Moreno's tackle bone-shattering leverage.
Moreno was not carded for the incident.
