If Connor McDavid's first period without bubble wrap is any indication, we're in for a whole lot of whistles, scrums, punches, and crowded penalty boxes.

After his former World Junior teammate, Vancouver Canucks' Jake Virtanen, laid this hit on the first overall draft selection midway through the first period, it got more than a little bit heated at the Young Stars tournament opener.

Darnell Nurse and Mitch Moroz were each issued penalties in their attempts to repay Virtanen.
