Report: Eagles interested in signing Christian Ponder

The Philadelphia Eagles are interested in signing quarterback Christian Ponder, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.
Ponder is expected to be released by the Oakland Raiders after signing with the club in March.
The 27-year-old started one game last year with the Minnesota Vikings, before being supplanted by Teddy Bridgewater. Ponder was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
If Ponder signs with the Eagles, he'd serve as the team's third-string quarterback behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez.
