TCU without McFarland, Pierson vs. Minnesota

TCU is down a pair of starters on defense for Thursday night's game against Minnesota.

Defensive end James McFarland and defensive tackle Davion Pierson are out against the Gophers. McFarland has a foot injury, while Pierson is dealing with an "upper torso" injury.

McFarland notched 41 tackles, 12 for loss, and seven sacks for the Horned Frogs last season. Pierson added 28 tackles, eight for loss, and 3.5 sacks, with the absence of both leaving a sizable hole along TCU's defense line.
