Japan hits 3 HRs in a row in Little League World Series

The Japanese team's Little League World Series hopes appeared to be dashed after they fell behind 10-2 to Pennsylvania in the first inning, which included a grand slam by Dylan Rodenhaber.

But the boys from Tokyo had no intention of getting mercy ruled.

Yugo Aoki, Kengo Tomita, and Shingo Tomita combined for three consecutive homers in the second, closing the deficit to three. The team scored two more runs before the inning was out to bring the score to 10-9.

It has been a record-setting tournament, with Japan's third home run bringing the 2015 Series total to 85. The previous record was 76.

The incredible display by the international champions came after they didn't record a hit until extra innings Saturday against Mexico, with Aoki reaching home plate to clinch the victory.
