Penguins coach Johnston: Kessel will 'most likely' start alongside Crosby

The Pittsburgh Penguins could begin the season with one of the most dangerous lines in the NHL.

Phil Kessel will most likely start on Sidney Crosby's right wing, head coach Mike Johnston said Tuesday.

Johnston said that could change, but it would mean the Penguins top line would initially consist of Crosby, Kessel, and Chris Kunitz on the left side.

Pittsburgh is fairly deep at Kessel's position, with Patric Hornqvist and David Perron at right wing in addition to their new acquisition.

The Penguins acquired Kessel in a six-player trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 1.
