West Brom rejects written transfer request from Saido Berahino
West Brom is intent on keeping Saido Berahino - even if he doesn't want to stay.
The club announced Monday it has rejected a written transfer request from the 22-year-old, reiterating a position that has been steadfast throughout the summer: West Brom has absolutely no intention of selling the in-demand striker.
Berahino, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season, has long been linked with a move to Tottenham, as Spurs continue to search for someone who can lessen the scoring burden on Harry Kane.
West Brom confirmed the denial of an initial bid from the London-based club earlier in the summer, though a further attempt to sign the young Englishman is expected to arrive at West Brom's doorstep in the coming days.

Berahino was left out of the squad for Sunday's match against Chelsea, with manager Tony Pulis saying after the contest that he made the decision because the youngster has been unsettled by the swirling rumours.
