Juventus director Marotta: Loan deal for Juan Cuadrado to be finalised in coming days

Juan Cuadrado is going back to Serie A.

Juventus director Beppe Marotta said Sunday that the Colombian winger is on the verge of joining the Bianconeri on a season-long loan from Chelsea, confirming rumours from earlier in the day that the sinewy 27-year-old will be flying up and down the pitch at the Juventus Stadium this season.

"He's going to join on a season-long loan," Marotta told Mediaset, as quoted by ESPN FC, prior to the club's shocking 1-0 loss to Udinese. "Only six months ago, he was bought for €35 million and today this opportunity arose and we've seized it and we hope to finalise it tomorrow morning. It's now up to (coach Massimiliano) Allegri to work out where the players will play."

Cuadrado's arrival will, at least temporarily, end an uninspiring spell at Chelsea that saw the Colombian make only 12 Premier League appearances - and only four starts - after joining the club from Fiorentina.
