It was a tough debut for Sam Bradford in a Philadelphia Eagles uniform.

First, during the preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, he had his surgically repaired knee tested by a charging Terrell Suggs. Suggs was handed a 15-yard penalty for the questionable hit.

Not long after the Suggs hit, Bradford was absolutely drilled by Brandon Williams.

How's it going Sam Bradford?

It wasn't all bad for Bradford, though, he finished the drive with three completions for 35 yards, and the Eagles found the end zone with a 14-yard scamper by Ryan Mathews.

As for the low hit by Suggs, Bradford thinks the veteran linebacker was targeting his famous wonky knees.

"I think that was what he was trying to do," Bradford said following the game, according to NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks. "I was a little upset. I'm not sure I can repeat what I said to him."

Eagles offensive tackle Jason Peters wasn't about to let Suggs off the hook either, even claiming the hit was premeditated.

"It was a cheap shot at the quarterback," Peters said. "I'm pretty sure he planned it. We practiced against them all week, and I'm pretty sure he was thinking about it."

For his part, Suggs wasn't about to apologize for the controversial hit.

Bradford finished 3-of-5 on the evening, but may have reason for concern. Mark Sanchez went 14-of-20 for 118 yards and was generally averse of the careless errors he's been associated with throughout his career.
