"It's going to be fun. They're excited," Aviles told reporters prior to the game. "That's what you want as a parent. You want your kids to be happy. You don't want to see them crying. When they're having a good time, I'm excited."

The Indians have showed continued love and support to the Aviles family as Adriana has received treatment for childhood leukemia, which she was diagnosed with in May.

Cleveland players and staff, including CEO Paul Dolan, shaved their heads in support of Adriana in May.

The Indians vowed not to trade Aviles prior to July's trade deadline to avoid complicating his family's already tough situation.

Aviles is in his third season with the team and is hitting .218/.274/.301 in 70 games.
