The Hamilton Tiger-Cats added running back C.J. Gable and wide receiver Andy Fantuz to the six-game injured list on Wednesday. Both were injured in the team's home opener against the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday.

Gable took a hard hit during the first half at Tim Hortons Field and was taken to a local hospital with an elbow injury. Later in the game, after a bit of rain, Fantuz slipped and appeared to injure his arm.

Gable missed the first three games of the season after suffering a broken finger during training camp earlier this year. He was an impressive addition to the Ticats' roster in his first game, returning to the field against Saskatchewan on July 26 and rushing for 135 yards on 20 attempts.

Fantuz, a favourite target for quarterback Zach Collaros, has 30 catches for 311 yards so far this season.

Head coach Kent Austin said neither injury is season-ending, but Gable will likely be out longer than Fantuz, according to Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator.

Hamilton will be without both players for their next game on Aug. 9 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
