VIDEO: The 2015-16 Kings are the NBA's 'Suicide Squad'
The Sacramento Kings should be one of the more fascinating stories of the 2015-16 NBA season, with a roster full of combustible elements and giant personalities. It's as if a bunch of random pieces were thrown together this offseason with the expectation that they'd fit seamlessly together.
You could even call the Kings the basketball equivalent of "The Suicide Squad," a connection Grantland's Jason Gallagher recently made when he put together a mock film trailer with Sacramento's players in the roles of the eponymous group.
The actual "Suicide Squad" film will be released on Aug. 5, 2016, with Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie set to star.
Rajon Rondo as the Joker, though? Genius.
Joining Rondo as new additions to the roster will be Seth Curry, Marco Belinelli, Caron Butler, Quincy Acy, rookie Willie Cauley-Stein, and Kosta Koufos.
With DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and a seemingly disgruntled Darren Collison already in the mix, the Kings being a "Suicide Squad" seems like a surefire bet.
